The 2021 Information Security past questions exam for BCA (Bachelor in Computer Applications) from Tribhuvan University consisted of multiple questions covering fundamental and advanced security concepts.
Group B (Short Answer Questions)
Students had to attempt six out of eight questions, each carrying 5 marks. Topics included:

- HMAC (Hash-based Message Authentication Code) and its objectives
- Password vulnerabilities and strategies for creating strong passwords
- Access rights and the trust framework
- Honeypots and their types
- Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and its role in security
- SSL, TLS, and handshake protocol
Group C (Long Answer Questions)
Students had to answer two out of three questions, each carrying 10 marks. Topics included:
- Threats and attacks in Information Security
- Cryptosystems, including Vigenere and Rail Fence ciphers
- Security audits and their architecture
